As the number of confirmed cases on the island of Ireland is on the increase, we are continuing to monitor the situation and will be led by the advice of the various health authorities. At present, indoor gatherings of more than 100 people and outdoor gatherings of more than 500 people are suspended until March 29th. It is impossible to tell at this stage how this will proceed into the Summer so we are examining what options are available to us and our members and will continue to keep you informed.
For now, the launch of the guidebook, which was planned for March 28th, has been postponed until we have a clearer picture.
In the meantime, there are some sensible precautions that all members should be taking:
Avoid holding meetings, or ask anyone displaying symptoms not to attend.
Avoid holding any public fundraiser events.
Advise vulnerable members, e.g. people with underlying health conditions not to attend meetings.
Keep an eye on official advice from the relevant government departments.
