1.  Competition confined to Continental Ewe or Ram any age.

2.  Three exhibitors to qualify three sheep for the final.

3.  An exhibitor may only qualify three sheep for the final.

Entry Fee: To Qualifying shows £3. To Final £5 

Prize Fund £500: Champion £200; Reserve £100; 3rd£75; 4th £50;  5th to 7th £25

1. Competitions open to Ewes excluding Hogget’s

2. Maximum of three entries per exhibitor in each class

N. B. Sheep must be penned by 10 30am

Prize Fund For each Class 1ST €150 & sash; 2nd €100; 3rd €50; 4th& 5th €25. Entry Fee: €6 each class

Class 1 Best Purebred Ewe (must be notched)

Class 2 Best Mountain Horn Ewe

Class 3 Cross bred Mountain Ewe (first cross only)

All Ireland Hogget Ewe Championships 2017 - Swinford

Swinford Show Society Present

The Growvite All Ireland Hogget Ewe Championships

RULES AND CONDITIONS:

1.     Entry in each class is confined to Hogget Ewes (i.e. one year old/not more than two permanent teeth), which fit the description of that class.

2.     All classes are open to pedigree and non-pedigree flocks.

3.     A competitor may enter a maximum of two entries in each class from their own flock.

4.     Sheep entered in these classes are not eligible for other classes in Swinford show.

5.     Entries to be made direct to the Secretary of Swinford Show marking envelope "Growvite".

6.     Closing date for receipt of entries is Tuesday 9th August 2016.

7.     The foregoing rules should be read in conjunction with ISA General rules, together with Swinford Show Rules.

Entry Fee:  €8 in each class

PRIZES in each class: 1st: Sash & 2.5 L Growvite plus €100; 2nd 1 L Growvite plus €50; 3rd: 1 L Growvite plus €30; 4th, 5th & 6th: 1 L Growvite. Overall winning hogget will be awarded the Swinford Show, Sheep Committee Cup, to be won outright.

  • Class 1. Continental Breed Hogget Ewe (any pure bred)
  • Class 2. Non-Continental Breed Hogget Ewe (any pure breed)
  • Class 3. Scotch Blackface Horned Hogget Ewe
  • Class 4. Cross Breed/Hybred Hogget Ewe Open. This hogget must clearly demonstrate crossbreed vigour and be adjudged suitable to produce ideal French Lamb.

2.  A Competitor may enter more than one Ram 

3.  Entries in this championship may compete in any other classes at Kilgarvan Show. 

4.  These Rules should be read in conjunction with the Irish Shows As- sociation Rules 

5.  Entries made direct to the secretary of Kilgarvan Show  

6.  Closing date for receipt of entries is Friday 22nd July 2016
