The All Ireland Junior Home Cook Champion 2017

Creativity with Irish Ingredients

The Irish Shows Association is offering secondary school students the opportunity to enter the All Ireland Junior Home Cook Champion 2017 competition and cook off live alongside TV3/RTE celebrity chef Adrian Martin (Chef Adrian)

Five regional shows (Listed on the Poster) will host the regional finals.

The winner of the regional final will go forward to the All-Ireland final on bank holiday Monday 7th August at Castleblaney show.

The prizes for the All Ireland final are as follows

First Prize €800

Second Prize €400

Third, Fourth, Fifth and sixth Prizes €100

Entries from teams of two students will be accepted. Students must be in attendance in secondary school and be a resident of the 32 counties of Ireland.

Teams who qualify will cook off live at one of the regional finals. The cook-offs will be hosted and supported by Chef Adrian. 

Students will have one hour to cook a main course of their choice. We would ask students to use Irish ingredients where possible as extra marks will be allocated.

No preparation will be allowed prior to commencement of the cook-off.

Students will be provided with a four ring hob and oven for the cook off.

Entries will be on a first come basis, so don’t delay enter today. 

We encourage all aspiring secondary school cooks to consider entering this exciting competition and aspire to be Crowned “The All Ireland Junior Home Cook Champion”2017.
