RULES AND CONDITIONS
 

1. - Each exhibit must consist of Three items from the list below:
(A) - Handmade Picture any medium max. 60cm x 45cm (excluding frame)
(B) - Flower arrangement for a Dining Room table (space allowed 12” x 12”
(C) - Six Potatoes. Any Variety
(D) -Decorated Victoria Sponge (20cm/8” Round)(filling & Decoration must be Non
Perishable)

  • The Picture must be Handmade. Machine Work will not suffice.
  • Potatoes must be grown by the exhibitor.
  • Exhibitors may quality once only
  • Two exhibitors to quality from each qualifying show
  • This competition will be judged on a points system
  • Points will be awarded for presentation.
 Exhibits to be in place before 11.30 on day of final judging.

 Entry Fee: To qualifying Show €3.  To final €6.

 PRIZES:  1st €250; 2nd €200; 3rd €130; 4th €65; 5th to 25th €30 each.

Rules & Conditions  

  1. Each exhibit should consist of the following: One single rose 
  2. Conditions of stem and foliage to be taken into account. 
  3. Exhibitor must use vases provided by the Show Society  
  4. In this competition, the exhibit must be the property of and be grown by the exhibitor.  
  5. Marquee open from 7.30am on show morning and will be closed for judging at 10am sharp. Marquee will open to the public at 12 noon.  
  6. Exhibits should not be removed before 5.00pm.

This is a Direct Entry All Ireland Championship.

Rules & Conditions:

1. Each exhibitor will bake all items listed below using Odlum's products:

(a) 6 Decorated Cupcakes
(b) 6 Chocolate Brownies
(c) Healthy Bread (Baked in 900g / 2lb loaf tin)

N.B. All recipes can be found on the Odlum's website

Own recipes may also be used.

2. The items to be displayed on individual plates and each exhibitor will be allotted their own space. On a base not more than 18" Square.

3. Points will be awarded for texture, taste and appearance of baked items & presentation

4. Competition is opened to youths 18 years & under both male and female, with one entry per exhibitor at the show.

6. The items must be fresh and home baked by the exhibitor

7. All items will be cut and sampled on the day.

8. Judges decision will be final at the competition.

9. Prizewinners will be presented with a certificate and relevant prize.

10. Exhibits are displayed at owner’s risk.

Prizes: 1st: €100 and Goods in Kind, 2nd: €75, 3rd: €50, 4th, 5th & 6th €25.

Odlums All Ireland Home Baking Championship 2017 - Tullamore

THE IRISH SHOWS ASSOCIATION & TULLAMORE SHOW SOCIETY PRESENT

 The Odlums All Ireland Home Cooking Championship

1. Each competitor must bake the four items listed using Odlums products:

  • Decorated Carrot & Walnut Cake 20cm /8ins Round
  • Lemon Drizzle Cake 900g/ 2lb Loaf
  • Quiche Lorraine 20cm /8ins Round
  • Seed & Nut Bread 900g/ 2lb Loaf

N.B. All recipes can be found on the Odlum's website. Own recipes may also be used.

2. Items to be displayed on individual plates and each exhibitor will be allot-ted their own space (trays optional) on a base 24" Square

3. Points will be awarded for taste, texture, appearance of baked items and presentation.

4. The competition is confined to amateurs, both male and female, with one entry per exhibitor at the final.

5. The items must be fresh and home baked by exhibitor

6. A special class will be held at each qualifying show. Two entries may qual-ify from these shows for the final, if judges agree that the standard is high enough. The Qualifiers from each of these shows will go forward to the final, to be held at the Tullamore Show, on Sunday August 14th.

7. All items will be cut and/or sampled at the final

8. Each of the successful qualifiers will receive a hamper containing Odlums products, on appearance at the final

9. Certificates will be awarded to the finalists.

10. The judge’s decisions at all stages of the competition, IS FINAL

11. Exhibits are displayed at owner’s risk

2. The items to be displayed as one exhibit on a base of 2ft X 2ft approx.

3. Points will be awarded for texture, taste and presentation suitable for Afternoon Tea

4. Competition is open to amateurs male or female and one tray to qualify per exhibitor.

5. All items to be home made by the exhibitor.

6. A special qualifying class will be held at selected shows. Two trays may qualify for the Final if the Judges agree the standard is high enough

7. Judges decision will be final at all stages of the competition.

RULES AND CONDITIONS

1. The vegetables exhibited should be home grown, by the exhibitor.

2. The collection may contain five (5) kinds of vegetables, three (3) of each kind, apart from beans, peas and potatoes which should have five (5) of each.

3. Cut greenery from the garden, including parsley may be used and will be classified as decoration.

4. The space required is at the discretion of the exhibitor.

5. Points will be awarded for uniformity of size, quality, freshness and artistic appearance of exhibit.

6. Exhibits must be in place by 10.00am on Show Day, Sunday 13th August 2017.

7. Marquee open from 7.30am on show morning and will be closed for judging at 10am sharp. Marquee will open to the public at 12 noon.

 The Bord Bia All Ireland Quality Potato Championship

 

RULES AND CONDITIONS

1. In this competition the produce must be the property of and be grown by the ex-hibitor

2. Each exhibit is to consist of the following: A dish of 6 potatoes of any variety. The variety to be correctly named. Each tuber should be free from skin blemishes, be true to type, and weigh approximately 6 ozs. (170g).

3. Two exhibits to qualify at each show.

4. This being a quality championship, the adjudicators will favour floury, high dry matter varieties, which are popular with the Irish customer.

5. These rules should be read in conjunction with the Irish Shows Association Rules.

6. Marquee open from 7.30am on show morning and will be closed for judging at 10am sharp. Marquee will open to the public at 12 noon.

7. Exhibits cannot be removed before 5.00 pm.

Rules & Conditions

  1. All Items must be sole work of the exhibitor
  2. Each exhibit must consist of 2 of the following Items
    A- Any article using Tweed i.e. Picture Cushion or Skirt (this Item is obligatory)
    B- Any Article in Coloured Embroidery made in the current
    C- Any article in cotton Crochet using no thicker than No 20 Cotton Thread
    D- Hand Knit Cardigan, Lumber Jacket or Jumper Adult Size only
  3. All of the above to be made in the current year
  4. The items to be displayed as one exhibit
  5. Any Item the Judge feels is produced by any other method other than hand shall be disqualified
  6. A special class will be held at each qualifying show.
  7. One entry may qualify from each qualifying show for the final, if judges agree that the standard is high enough a second entry may be qualified. The Qualifiers from each of these shows will go forward to the final, to be held at the Ballyshannon Show, on Sunday August 20th
  8. Each of the successful qualifiers will receive a Rosette on appearance at the final
  9. The judge’s decisions will be final at all stages of the competition.
  10. Exhibits are displayed at owner’s risk
